Marcus Stimac
Our founder, Marcus Stimac, is an actor and director with decades of experience within the entertainment industry. He has provided the voices for many anime characters including: Bergamo in Dragon Ball Super, Taro in Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Tiger in My Hero Academia, Nobu Shimoguichi in Tokyo Ghoul, Dr. Hogback and Young Gol D. Roger in One Piece, and many, many others. His directing credits include work on One Piece, One Piece: Heart of Gold, My Hero Academia, Alderamin of the Sky, Chaos Child, and more. You can also find him onstage, as he is a classically trained theatre artist and has acted/directed in many different plays, musicals, and founded the Shakespeare Everywhere production company. Marcus founded Record U because he loves to give enthusiastic artists a chance. He wants to empower voice actors in various stages of their careers to enter the industry, no matter how competitive, and provide an avenue to evolve their skills and create accessibility for all, whether you’re serious about acting or want to cross off dubbing an anime off your bucket list. Record U is his dream that has become a reality.

John Stimac
John Stimac is an American Voice Actor and Operatic Bass-Baritone best known for his impressive vocal diversity and his unique Bladed and Booming timbre. Established in New York City, John has been working at the Metropolitan Opera as an actor/vocalist and doing Voice Over and Live Radio Shows for HBO, A&E, Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Resounding LIVE. He is also the owner of Quixotech Audio and Co-founder of Record University, which provides construction and consultation of home recording studios and VO Educational Seminars and Classes for prospective and professional clients.

Rudy Lopez
Rudy Lopez is a Mexican American stage, VO, and film & TV actor and director based in Dallas, TX. He’s been acting for the past 10 years but has only been doing VO for the past 2 years. He can be heard in some of your favorite animes like One Piece, Solo Leveling, Twilight Out Of Focus, Apothecary Diaries, and many more. You can also hear his voice in several commercials like Progressive, Cricket Wireless, Bark Mobile. Recent theatre credits include, As You Like It at Shakespeare LIVE, The Odyssey at Shakespeare Dallas, Native Gardens at Dallas Theater Center, and The Butterfly’s Evil Spell with Theatre Three. Rudy believes that Record U is a great place to craft your talent and enjoy creating the art you bring into the world, describing it as a safe space for actors to learn and feel prioritized.

Michael Stimac
Michael is an actor and director in Dallas with a BFA in Theater from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Over his career, Michael has starred in many stage productions and has even received a commendation from the Kennedy Center for his performances. He has been in numerous anime productions as an actor and director including Attack on Titan, Kaiju No. 8, One Piece, and My Hero Academia. Record U's services give insight into turning your talent into a business, providing resources and career roadmaps that Michael wishes he had access to coming out of school.

Izzy Raine
Izzi Raine is a voice actor and director that began her journey in the industry in 2006, later moving to Dallas from Mesa, Arizona in 2022 to further pursue her career in the voiceover industry. As a voice actor, she can be heard as Sayaka Taniyama in Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, Mizuki in Trillion Game, Louis’ Squirrel Form in The Gorilla God’s Go To Girl, among several other roles across many fan-favorite anime. Izzi has found Record U to be a creative space to further expand her skills and experience as both an actor and a director, and appreciates the opportunity to collaborate with so many other talented industry professionals.

Jamie Snowden
Meet Jamie Snowden, an actor & voice actor in Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas. Projects that he has been in include One Piece, Kaiju No. 8, Dr. Stone, and many more. When it comes to Record U, Jamie loves how trusting the company is. He describes it as the "trust fall" of the voiceover world, saying that you can go in knowing absolutely nothing, and the amazing team at Record U will stop at nothing to ensure that you're on the right path.

Monet Lerner
Monét Lerner has been in show business for 20+ years, and specifically in Anime since 2022. Her most notable roles in anime include Peral in “Dragon Ball Daima,” Child Bachira in “Blue Lock," and Dr Lydia Ainsworth in “The Ice Blade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World” and others. Monét’s bread and butter is working as the Assistant Director for Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament for all 10 locations. When it comes to Record U, Monét believes it’s a space filled with working professionals who want you to succeed. Without a doubt, she knows that Record U can give beginners and advanced actors/directors/engineers the tools to progress forward and become knowledgeable in their desired field. Record U offers the best of the best, top of the line education and top quality, well produced demos, and know what the professionals in the business are looking for.

Lexie Shamir
Lexie Shamir is an alumna from Southern Methodist University with a BFA in Film and Media Arts and a focus in writing and directing. She is a local freelancer and social media manager. Lexie has been freelancing creating voice over demo reels that have allowed her clients to receive talent agency representation, gigs, and a place on talent rosters, and she has teamed up with Record U to combine their efforts as she leads the Submission Materials department. Lexie believes that Record U has the ability to help actors in all stages of their career realize their potential, hone in on their skills, and can set them up for success in a competitive industry.

Chris Rutledge
Chris Rutledge has been a professional voice actor since 2018, lending his voice to projects like My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, Wind Breaker, and One Piece. One of his favorite things about Record U is the people. As a business built for voice actors by voice actors, the team behind Record U knows the hustle, the awkward auditions, the imposter syndrome, and have been through it all. Furthermore, everyone at Record U is at different stages in their career, so they’re constantly learning from folks with fresh eyes, battle scars and everything in between. He says, “Long story short: It’s real people, real experience, and real opportunities to grow.”

William Ofoegbu
William Ofoegbu is a voice actor in titles such as My Hero Academia, Dr. STONE, Ninja Must Die, and Delta Force. He casts, directs, educates, and has worked as a professional talent since 2012. He works with Record U to continue helping folks grow in their fields and discover more about their interests and aspirations.

Lauren Massey
Lauren Claire Massey has been an actor since 2009. Since making Dallas her home, Lauren has taken on many roles, including notable parts in Town For Sale and Patti & Theo at Ochre House Theater, along with a recent venture into voice acting. She has a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas. Over the last 5 years, Lauren has worked as a speech language pathologist developing and supporting the communication of children and adults. Something she values about Record U is that the team is full of experienced artists who are committed to helping fellow creatives put their best foot forward. It's a place where one can safely explore artistic passions, develop skills, and receive guidance toward professional goals. As a longtime anime fan and audiobook lover, she is honored to join our team in encouraging the artistic expression and growth of others.
